Why UPSC?
1. Salary Benefits: Officers who got selected
get their salaries based on the 7th pay commission which gives them
initial salary of 70-80k (Basic Pay starts from 56100) depending on allowances.
This salary increases with promotions and increment. The perks and benefits
other than the salary are much more than any other job field in India. After
years of service in the Government of India, the salaries increase as per the
grade pay of the officers.
2. Facilities: Officers are provided with
residence facilities and transport facilities. All their expenses are borne by
the Government of India. They are provided with vehicle. They may also get
security guards due to their profiles. The benefit is all your bills
(necessities) are borne by the government. The officers along with residence

the direct channel of the government decision-making process. Policy
formulation is also one of the important roles executed by civil servants and

communication skills and with practice, they become seasoned officers.
6. Job Security: Removing Officers is a tedious job
as they can be removed by President of India only. Due to this security of job
officers can take decisions without any fear and favour.
7. Trips and diplomatic immunity: An IAS officer can delay a
plane. Yes, that’s true. The flight would have to wait for him to sit in case
he is late if he is on an official trip. This is the benefit of being a civil
servant. Diplomatic immunity is another one of them, if an officer gets stuck
in some place outside India, then no one can arrest him/her if he/she is a
diplomat of India, which is generally an IFS officer.
8. Social Status- In India civil servants receive
huge respect from people as the decisions of civil servants affect their lives.
There are many aspirants who prepare for the exams to get such respect from
society.
Finally, I
believe these points are enough to motivate anyone to target the civil services
