2. Strategy for cracking UPSC in the First Attempt -
Planning or strategizing your preparation is crucial in clearing this exam in one go. Now the question is how to make your own strategy here I am giving a link to another article dedicated to strategy formation - But here in short I will tell you to divide your syllabus points into months, weeks and on a daily basis which will not only help you prepare well but also it will help you in tracking your preparation.
3. Importance of Previous Year Questions (PYQ) -
When you start preparing for UPSC CSE, understanding what was asked in earlier exams can help you streamline your studies and give you enough idea about what is being asked in the exam and what is not. It will help you understand how questions are framed from particular sections of the syllabus. So do take the help of the PYQ section.
4. Notes Making -
This point is subjective as some students believe in notes making and some do not.
Notes-making helps you understand your subject in great detail but also makes it handy to go through it as and when needed. Some people make notes on their Ipad, which is also a good idea.
5. Revision Re-revision -
The syllabus is vast however, the most difficult part is remembering the notes, so one should give recurring revisions of their notes. Timely revision is a must and cannot be ignored. While giving exams in the exam hall many students remember 2 options but are unsure of the third option and often this happens due to a lack of revisions. So if you want to crack the exam in one attempt, make sure that you don't do the mistake of ignoring revisions.
6. Testing Yourself -
Regular mock tests of UPSC CSE can help you prepare well by giving you an idea of where you lack in your preparation. It is equally important in prelims and mains exams. So don't forget to test your preparation.
7. Don't give up -
The exam process is long and needs your focus all around the preparation phase so at any moment don't bog down, don't give up and if you felt so then remember Why you started preparing for this exam in the first place. This will motivate you to pull up your socks and face it again.
That's it from my side. Congratulations as you have decided to become an IAS Officer through UPSC CSE.
